The Abaqus unified finite element analysis product suite is designed for fast and efficient simulations. It contains a co-simulation method that combines the implicit and explicit solvers, an AMS eigensolver, and a highly automated general contact implementation. Other features include a viscous shear model that allows for the simulation of non-Newtonian fluids and an extended finite element method to simulate crack growth along arbitrary paths that do not correspond with element boundaries.
