PALATINE, Ill. (AP) – Acura Pharmaceuticals Inc. said that President and CEO Andrew Reddick died Thursday. He was 58.
The company did not disclose a cause of death for Reddick. The company announced Monday that Reddick was taking a leave of absence for medical reasons.
Chief Operating Officer Bob Jones took charge of Acura’s day-to-day operations when Reddick went on leave, and Richard Markham continued in his role as non-executive chairman of the board.
Reddick took over as Acura’s President and CEO in August 2003. He was elected to a new one-year term on the board of directors on April 28.
