WASHINGTON (AP) – Specialty drugmaker Allergan Inc., which makes eye care products and Botox anti-wrinkle injections, spent $250,000 lobbying in the third quarter, according to a federal filing.
The company’s lobbying total for the period was up slightly from $220,000 in the prior-year period.
In the most recent period, Allergan said it lobbied Congress on product-approval issues at the Food and Drug Administration. The company did not list any specific products or legislative issues.
Based in Irvine, Calif., Allergan specializes in cosmetic drugs like Botox and the eyelash-enhancing Latisse, as well as eye care and neurological treatments.
Allergan disclosed its lobbying in a form filed October 20 with the House clerk’s office.
