Newport Corp. introduces an expanded product line of aluminum breadboards and accessories for basic photonics research and OEM optical assemblies. The SA2 Series of solid aluminum breadboards includes a range of sizes to provide a stable yet lightweight platform for optical components and sub-assemblies.
The SA2 Series sizes include 4 by 6 in., 6 by 6 in., 8 by 8 in., 6 by 24 in., and 6 by 36 in. to offer more flexibility for optical experiments. A standard grid of tapped holes extends to within 0.5 in. of the plate edges to provide mounting surface. The SA2 also features "in-grid" counter-bored holes and edge chamfers to enable lifting, aligning, and integrating the SA2 onto standard optical tables.
Newport’’ SA2 Series is available in custom sizes and shapes, upon request. The imperial standard models feature 20 tapped holes on a 1 in. grid and metric models feature M6 tapped holes on a 25 mm grid. All versions are deep black anodized to minimize surface reflections. Other surface finishes are available upon request.
