EWING, N.J. (AP) – Antares Pharma Inc. said it licensed a drug delivery technology to Pfizer Inc. The companies did not disclose specifics of the deal.
Antares said Pfizer will handle all costs for development, making and selling the drug that uses the technology in North America and some other regions. Antares will get upfront payments and milestone payments based on development and sales. If a product is approved, Antares will get royalties on sales over the first three years after approval.
Antares makes self-injectable drugs, and earlier this month, the Food and Drug Administration approved a topical gel that Antares developed as a treatment for overactive bladder.
