Asylum Research announced that it has installed the
first Cypher AFM system in China
at the South China
Normal University
in Guangzhou. The
Cypher system was installed in the lab of Professor Xingsen Gao at the SCNU Institute
for Advanced Materials by personnel from Asylum Research and Grapes
Hangzhou Technology Co. Ltd, Asylum’s representative in China. Professor Gao’s group will
use Cypher to investigate advanced piezoelectric, ferroelectric, and
multiferroic materials.
Gao comments, “Our new Cypher AFM
is the first of its kind in China.
We chose Cypher because of its true atomic resolution and sophisticated PFM imaging techniques.
We are planning to use it as a stable and powerful platform for probing various
nanoscale properties on multifunctional materials with integration of other
electrical characterization methods.”
