Alfa Aesar, a Johnson Matthey Company, has released a new line of highly purified bovine serum albumins (BSA). These albumins are specially prepared by desalting and then purified by aqueous ion-exchange chromatography.
The resulting product is not exposed to organic solvents or denatured by precipitation and heat-shock treatments. Purified bovine albumins have applications in cell culture, in-vitro diagnostics, molecular biology, serology and general research where high quality is essential.
Included in the BSA product offering are low endotoxin albumins for use in cell and tissue culture work, low IgG albumins for preparation of monoclonal antibodies, Southern & Northern blots, and general immunoassay work, and low fatty acid albumins for in-vitro embryo research.
