CAMO Software Appoints New CEO

CAMO Software Appointments New CEO

CAMO Software AS has announced the appointment of Pål Bråthen as chief executive officer (CEO), effective immediately. Founded in 1984, CAMO Software is a pioneer in the growing field of multivariate data analysis (MVA) and design of experiments (DoE) software. The company has recently re-structured and strengthened the management group with senior appointments in sales, marketing and business development across its global operations.

Bråthen has more than 20 years senior management experience from both publicly listed and privately held technology companies. He has a long track record in international sales, marketing and business development, combined with hands-on experience working with multicultural teams and clients.

Bråthen’s appointment is intended to help CAMO Software achieve ambitious growth targets and capitalize on the rapidly growing use of multivariate analysis methods. He will lead the company’s focus on industrial sales, delivering solutions to their existing blue-chip client base and new clients, in addition to strengthening the company’s strategic partnerships.

CAMO Software’s flagship software, the Unscrambler X, is used by more than 25,000 people in over 3,000 companies and hundreds of universities across the world. The company also offers customizable, real-time process monitoring solutions, enabling process manufacturers to gain a competitive advantage through improved product quality, lower development costs and faster time to market.

“In the past 18 months, we have invested heavily in our applications and talent to ensure we have the technology and expertise to meet the evolving needs of our market. The organization is now structured to deliver even more powerful and flexible software and solutions for our clients, and I’m proud to say that I believe we are best in class,” commented Bråthen. “This is a very exciting time of growth for both CAMO Software and our industry in general. The use of multivariate data analysis is expanding significantly as organizations look for deeper insights and more accurate predictions using the technology. However, we understand that investments need to pay for themselves quickly, and we are uniquely positioned to offer our customers exceptional value for money through a combination of powerful analytics, ease of use and affordability.”

Bråthen has previously worked in the renewable and environmental services industry, as well as the pharmaceutical, retail, software and management consulting sectors. He has a B.Sc (econ) in addition to an International Management Degree from the Norwegian School of Management (BI) and the School of Marketing (NMH).
