Chemical Library

By R&D Editors | September 4, 2009

Symyx Technologies, Inc. announced its ChemMobi App is now available for free on the App Store. ChemMobi gives on-the-go scientists access to over 30 million chemical structures, chemical properties, suppliers and other information in the Symyx databases directly on their iPhone or iPod touch.

ChemMobi is a useful and convenient tool for chemists, biochemists, and anyone else interested in accessing chemical structures and associated information while on the move. By integrating mobile communications with new chemical information services from Symyx, scientists can receive immediate answers to their chemistry questions, no matter where they are.

The ChemMobi App puts rich information resources right into the palm of the chemist’s hand, and the integration of ChemSpider with Symyx technology for iPhone and iPod touch is an ideal mesh of capabilities for facilitating easy access to free chemistry content.

Powered by DiscoveryGate Web Service (DGWS) and ChemSpider Search, ChemMobi provides access to over 30 million chemical structures, enabling chemists to search for Chemical Names or IDs and quickly retrieve associated information including chemical structures, calculated properties, commercial availability from over 860 suppliers, synonyms, and material safety data sheet summaries from ChemADVISOR.

The ChemMobi App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore.
