Chesapeake Midstream Partners LP is changing its name and ticker symbol.
The Oklahoma City company, which specializes in gathering and processing natural gas, will now be called Access Midstream Partners LP with a ticker symbol of “ACMP.”
CEO and general partner J. Mike Stice said the name change completes a transition that began when Global Infrastructure Partners bought a majority stake in the company from Chesapeake Energy Corp. for $2 billion. The deal was completed on June 29.
The partnership also has a new website: www.accessmidstream.com.
The partnership’s board also appointed three new directors: Stice; Robert Purgason, who is chief operating officer of the partnership’s general partner; and William Brilliant, who is principal of Global Infrastructure Partners.
