CloudX is a reference architecture for building efficient cloud platforms. It is based on the OpenCloud architecture, which leverages off-the-shelf components of servers, storage, interconnect and software to form flexible and cost-effective public, private and hybrid clouds. Leveraging high-speed interconnect solutions at 40 and 56 Gb/s, and with the ability to use open-source-based software such as OpenStack, the platform delivers off-the-shelf server, storage, interconnect and software components; OpenCloud architecture: based on open platforms and the ability to choose open source (Open Stack) or commercial software; highest speed interconnect of 40/56 Gb/s for fastest data transfer — InfiniBand and Ethernet Application and virtual network acceleration; and solid state drives (SSD) for fastest storage.
