With support for 64-bit Windows, COMSOL Multiphysics 3.2a increases the size of simulation models by orders of magnitude. Further, the companion product COMSOL Script provides object-oriented programming for custom data structures and operations in user-defined applications. A suite of electromagnetics-specific features enables the simulation of arbitrary waveforms for applications such as the startup of a motor or the response of a circuit to pulses. The software runs under Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, which supports 128 GB of RAM and 16 terabytes of virtual memory address space.
