American Dryer Corp. manufactures a line of HEPA contamination control dryers for cleanroom applications. These dryers are designed to filter the make-up air thoroughly before it enters the dryer to prevent contaminants from getting into the articles being dried. Often used for drying garments for surgical applications and for the semiconductor industry, the dryer is readily available with steam or electric heat sources and in 75-, 120-, and 170-lb. capacity sizes.
The HEPA dryers feature steel steam coils; a static prevention system; special seals; a stainless steel dryer front, base, outer drum, filter housing, and basket support structures; and high-temperature/pressure monitors. A side access panel allows machine cleanup from outside the cleanroom.
