Targeson announced that it has released Targestar P-HF, a perfusion contrast agent specifically designed to be used with high frequency ultrasound scanners, such as the Vevo 770 and Vevo 2100. Targestar P-HF has been engineered to perform optimally at ultrasound frequencies in the 15-40 MHz range. The agent is restricted to the vascular compartment and enables visualization of the vasculature and quantification of blood flow in animal studies. Targestar P-HF is indicated for vascular contrast enhancement and assessment of microcirculatory perfusion in preclinical applications such as tumor and myocardial perfusion.
