RayBiotech has just introduced the Quantibody Human Cytokine Array 4000 (or Human Q4000), which can quantitatively detect expression of 200 different proteins in a single experiment.
The kit consists of 5 different quantitative multiplex ELISA-based array slides:
Quantibody Human Inflammation Array 3 (QAH-INF-3) detects 40 inflammatory markers
Quantibody Human Chemokine Array 1 (QAH-CHE-1) detects 40 chemokines
Quantibody Human Growth Factor Array 1 (QAH-GF-1) detects 40 growth factors
Quantibody Human Receptor Array 1 (QAH-REC-1) detects 40 soluble cytokine receptors
Quantibody Human Cytokine Array 4 (QAH-CYT-4) detects 40 cytokines and related proteins
The Quantibody Human Cytokine Array 4000 array kit is available for purchase immediately, and the constituent arrays listed above are also available for individual purchase. Quantibody arrays are glass-slide antibody array platform that uses multiplex ELISA technology with standard concentration curves run along side unknown samples to give quantitative results with picogram-per-milliliter (pg/ml) sensitivity.
RayBiotech’s semi-quantitative membrane array has been featured in literally hundreds of biomedical research reports, including publications in Nature, Nature Medicine, Cell, Lancet, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA, and other top-tier biomedical and scientific journals.
The glass-slide array format, used for the Quantibody arrays, requires a gene microarray scanner, such as a GenePix from Axon, to detect the fluorescent signal. Fluorescence detection allows for a greater dynamic range of signals, and a smaller sample volume. With the Quantibody Arrays, 50 microliters of sample can yield quantitative detection of protein expression of up to 40 different proteins simultaneously in a single aliquot.
“This is the most comprehensive multiplex ELISA assay on the market,” said Brett Burkholder, Director of Marketing and Business Development for RayBiotech. “To be able to test for 200 markers and get quantitative data using no more than 250 microliters of serum or plasma in a single experiment, this is unprecedented. No other multiplex ELISA format even comes close.”
RayBiotech Founder and President, Dr. Ray Huang, characterizes this as a breakthrough in antibody-based biomarker discovery: “Previously, antibody-based screening methods were only semi-quantitative, yielding relative expression data, or detected only 10 to 20 proteins at a time. Using this product, researchers can now quantitatively screen for 200 biomarkers simultaneously.”
Antibodies and standards to quantitatively detect the following proteins included in this kit are:
