Data Acquisition Board 2003 Readers’ Choice Award Winner: 6120 Family

The 6120 family of 16-bit multifunction I/O DAQ devices allows users to capture waveforms with better vertical resolution and frequency resolution than with traditional oscilloscopes. The devices deliver 16-bit analog input at 800 kS/s on each of four channels for both transient measurements and frequency domain measurements. Users can synchronize onboard digital I/O and waveform output with the devices’ 16-bit waveform acquisition for mixed signal and stimulus-response applications. These capabilities make the family of DAQ devices a possible alternative to standalone instruments for many applications that require flexible channel counts and synchronization. Through NI-DAQ 6.9, the PXI-6120 and PCI-6120 integrate with popular application development environments, including NI LabVIEW, NI Measurement Studio for Visual Studio, Microsoft Visual C++, and Microsoft Visual Basic.
