The platform technology of SDMS captures all analytical and related lab data, including the printed reports generated by the instruments for scientist review (the actual content of the report, not just an image). Data can be quickly located and viewed without the instrument software that created it, facilitating collaboration by research members and managers, anywhere in the enterprise. This software seamlessly integrates all data sources within the existing IT infrastructure, exchanging data with other common systems and software tools such as statistics and visualization programs. A single, intuitive new user interface streamlines operations and minimizes IT support needs, and the optional Compliance Module for Microsoft Office provides the technical controls where required by 21 CFR Part 11 to Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations, without changing the native MS file format. Files are self-contained, portable, and can be read by any program capable of reading the native file format.
