EDEM 2.4 includes particle contact models, fast visualization and other features that increase the versatility and performance of the EDEM simulation platform. It simulates the flow behavior of bulk particles covering a wide range of material properties and physical phenomena and provides users with an expanded physics capability, and substantially faster rendering utilizing the increased power available in the latest graphics hardware. Models for fine particle cohesion, along with the first commercially available DEM model for simulation of bulk plastic deformation, are added to the EDEM simulation tools used by companies around the world to develop, design and optimize the next generation of bulk solids handling and processing equipment.
