eXplore Locus Ultra
eXplore Locus Ultra, an addition to the eXplore series pre-clinical portfolio of CT, Optical, and PET imagers is a pre-clinical CT system. This system uses breakthrough flat panel detector technology to provide quantitative physiological measurements for applications in: stroke research, tumor studies, organ function, and tissue viability. The Locus Ultra performs image acquisition at one-second speed, enabling dynamic imaging. With the combination of a clinical X-ray tube and the high-speed readout rate of the Apollo flat panel detector technology, the Locus Ultra achieves the shortest acquisition time of any pre-clinical CT system in the market. This short acquisition time allows the use of short-lived intravenous contrast agents for imaging vasculature and soft tissue anatomy. The high spatial resolution provides anatomical detail in small animals.
