Energy services company FMC Technologies Inc. said Monday that it named Robert Potter as its president.
John Gremp, 60, FMC’s chairman and chief executive, previously held the position and will remain chairman and CEO. Potter, 61, originally joined the company in 1973 and most recently served as its executive vice president of energy systems.
The leadership change is effective Aug. 1.
Houston-based FMC also said Monday that it named Douglas Pferdehirt, 48, as its executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Pferdehirt spent the past 26 years working at Schlumberger Ltd. in a variety of leadership positions, including executive vice president of corporate development and communication, FMC said.
FMC shares fell 92 cents, or 2 percent, to $45.92 in afternoon trading.
