Galbraith Laboratories, Inc., Knoxville, Tenn., has been certified to ISO 17025 standards by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for Chemical Testing. The scope of this certification includes 40 methods spanning metals analysis, chemical analysis, combustion analysis, consumer product safety testing, and preparation methods.
The ISO 17025 certification represents an internationally recognized benchmark for management and technical competence. Test data from an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory is recognized globally by regulatory organizations, safety organizations, manufacturers, and industry in general.
“Attaining this certification is one of many steps being taken to provide the highest level of service and technical competence to our customers,” says Brenda Thornburgh, president of Galbraith Labs. Earlier this year, Galbraith announced implementation of a new Reportable Results System (RRS)—a customized software program to provide rapid report generation, increased analytical detail on laboratory reports, electronic delivery of results, and the availability of multiple report formats.
In addition to ISO 17025-2005 accreditation, Galbraith is a GLP/cGMP laboratory and is FDA registered.
