New for SC13, the HPC Impact Showcase has assembled a full program of real-world applications of high performance computing (HPC) in an engaging theater setting on the exhibit floor. These unique presentations offer an exciting and accessible venue for key change agents to share important insights and perspectives of what it took to embrace HPC for competitive advantage, and to illustrate the real-world results that ensued.
United by their demand for innovation and rapid development, 16 leaders from diverse industries will speak Monday evening through Thursday afternoon, ranging from Goodyear talking about what it took to improve the next generation of tires, to Proctor and Gamble’s work on a model of skin, to Trek optimizing their mountain bike designs without expensive prototype manufacturing.
The HPC Impact Showcase is focused on providing voice to those with an interesting story to tell, and a passion for their work. Each has a unique testimonial of what it took to succeed, with lessons that can inform others in their own difficult decisions of next steps in leveraging advanced computing for accelerated change. By embedding this showcase within the SC Exhibits Space, attendees will be able to drop in and hear a story that they can relate to and be inspired by.
