IDC heads south and expands its research presence into Melbourne
Sydney and Melbourne Australia. In a logical step for future growth, ICT analyst firm IDC is launching a greater presence in Melbourne as part of its strategy to better service and work in closer alignment with its Victorian-based customers.
“IDC Australia manifests a culture of continuous improvement, and believes that expansion into Melbourne, coupled with the recruitment of additional head count in Sydney, places it well to continue on the economic successes it achieved in 2010,” said IDC’s Australia Country Manager, Gary Clarke.
The launch into Melbourne demonstrates IDC’s ongoing commitment to providing locally based analyst expertise and support to Australian and internationally owned service providers based in Australia. The move is also part of IDC’s goal to deliver better customer service and project delivery by providing a local point of contact for its clients.
IDC’s Melbourne arm will offer clients all of the traditional IDC products and services, including its recently launched infrastructure program and extension of its events, with regular ICT conferences planned in 2011 on topics including, Transformative Infrastructure, Mobility, CIO Summit (in partnerships with CIO magazine) and cloud computing.
“IDC has diversified with the development of a range of new products that will support our clients to make fact-based decisions regarding their go-to-market strategies. More importantly, our core business of providing quantitative and qualitative data will not change,” added Clarke.
The launch will be held in Melbourne tomorrow.
