PISCATAWAY, NJ ― IEEE announced the keynote speakers and agenda for its annual IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference (WIE ILC). WIE ILC is being held May 23 to 24, 2016 at the San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, CA.
Air Force veteran, champion of women’s issues, and Vice Mayor of San Jose, Rose Herrera, will open the event with a welcome address tied to this year’s theme “Lead Beyond ― Accelerating Women Who Change the World.” Among speakers slated to appear at WIE ILC are
- Pat Gelsinger, VMware CEO
- Aicha Evans, corporate vice president, platform engineering group, and general manager, communication devices group, Intel
- Marni Walden, executive vice president, and president of product innovation, Verizon
- Pankaj Patel, executive vice president, and chief development officer, Cisco
Additionally, more than 50 others, including leaders from Qualcomm, VMware, Ericsson and PG&E will address attendees throughout the two-day event.
