FRANKFURT, Germany — ISC High Performance has extended the deadline to apply for the ISC Student Volunteer Program. The new deadline is April 30, 2015. More volunteers are needed this year, as the conference will be hosting a larger number of sessions than in previous years, and the student volunteer program is critical in helping to run the conference as smoothly as possible.
The annual event, which brings together over 300 academia and industry leaders who are tackling the most important issues of supercomputing, industry innovation and new technologies, will be held July 12 to 16, 2015. The conference will take place in a new and very modern venue at Forum Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany — the world’s third largest exhibition facility. (For a quick impression of the city, watch the conference trailer.) About 2,600 international attendees from the HPC and scientific communities are expected at the event and, with close to 160 exhibitors, the exhibition will bring the largest collection of HPC vendors, universities, and research organizations from around the globe to assemble in Europe.
Participating as a student volunteer is a great opportunity to learn about the most important developments in the HPC field. By attending, students will to learn firsthand about new products and applications, in addition to the latest technological advances in the HPC industry. Undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
ISC will provide out-of-town students with accommodation, as well as most meals. Besides free conference attendance, student volunteers will come into contact with HPC employers — a great opportunity and experience to include on a résumé.
ISC High Performance is accepting applications by e-mail. For more information, please visit http://www.isc-hpc.com/student-volunteers.html.
