JMP Version 5 links statistics and graphics allowing users to explore data, make discoveries and gain knowledge for better decision making. The Design of Experiments (DOE) facility allows users to customize experiments, testing various factors and responses, to gain the greatest insight from the least resources. The software debuts new exploratory platforms to make it easier to discover the underlying patterns in data that drive continuous innovation and enable organizations to produce top-quality products. It introduces new exploratory modeling options that also help users get to the root cause of a problem even when there is no model identified, when there are multiple variables with non-linear relationships, or when there are underlying factors not measured in the data. As with previous releases, this software integrates visualization into these modeling tools to make it easy for users to understand the relationships found in their data. New cause-and-effect diagrams have been added to help manufacturing and Six Sigma professionals understand key factors that impact processes, so that DOE can be used to optimize the process surrounding those key factors.
