KineticSystems and Gage Join Forces
Tektronix, Inc and KineticSystems Company, LLC have finalized a definitive agreement for KineticSystems to acquire Gage Applied, Inc. from Tektronix, Inc. Gage Applied, Inc will operate under the name Gage Applied Technologies, Inc. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
As a previous subsidiary of Tektronix, Inc., Gage’s strategy has been to identify partnerships that will enable the business to reach its maximum potential. Over the past 16 years, Gage has focused on high performance PC based Instrument solutions providing data acquisition and instrumentation products.
KineticSystems, designs, produces and markets high performance data acquisition and control systems to a broad range of customers in the aerospace, defense, automotive, scientific and other industrial markets.
Eric Gillas, General Manager of Gage Applied, Inc. states: “KineticSystems’ position in the VXI market will bring added opportunities for Gage high performance digitizer products. Companies around the world will now have a complete portfolio (VXI, PCI, cPCI/PXI) of data acquisition and digitizer instruments to meet their needs. Today, the two companies, while offering complementary products, address two different markets. The combination of knowledge of these two markets will create a strong approach to meet customer needs and to work on next generation DAQ and Digitizer Instruments.”
Gage and KineticSystems will leverage its combined technology, engineering expertise, customer-oriented sales and service, and aggressive marketing and promotion, to meet growing customer demands for flexible data acquisition and test and measurement solutions that provide world-class technology products for its customers.

With its head office remaining in Montreal, Canada, Gage Applied Technologies, Inc. will be the exclusive point of contact for all sales, marketing, support and service for all Gage’s existing products as well as new product introductions. Gage will continue to sell and support its current family of CompuScope and CompuGen products including analog input cards, analog output cards, digital input cards, digital output cards, for both the PCI and cPCI/PXI bus as well as its family of sophisticated software products and measurement systems catering to customer application requirements.
The combined companies’ top priority will be to focus and provide service and support to customers. Gage’s and KineticSystems’ sales channels and application engineers look forward to continuing to work closely with customers to solve their application problems with an expanded portfolio of product solutions.
