MRPC, a single-source provider of medical device components and assemblies, has held the grand opening of its 15,000 sq. ft. facility expansion.
MRPC’s major expansion, which broke ground in May 2013, brings the total square footage of their Milwaukee plant to 100,000 sq. ft. The new addition opened in January and features additional cleanrooms, office space, and employee support space. MRPC invested $2.5 million in the expansion, which will allow the company to grow 10 to 15 percent annually over the next five years, as the company plans to hire 35-40 new employees in the Milwaukee area. The total cleanroom manufacturing space is now 35,000 sq. ft., which enables MRPC to meet increased demand for silicone molding, multiple-material molding, micromolding, medical molding, and thermoplastic molding, while also adding high-tech jobs in the Milwaukee area in the medical device manufacturing industry.
“We are committed to investing in Milwaukee and the medical device manufacturing industry,” says Greg Riemer, President of MRPC. “MRPC is continually evolving to maintain our position as industry leaders on the cutting edge of technology, and this expansion supports our continued growth and innovation.”
