Nestle Selects NuGenesis Technologies to Deploy Scientific Data Archival Solution
After a successful pilot, Nestlé will implement the NuGenesis Scientific Data Management System (SDMS) as its scientific archiving and back-up solution for their Research Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland. The NuGenesis SDMS will provide a centrally managed archiving system for raw data from the many diverse scientific instruments in the lab. The solution will be further evaluated for other Nestlé R&D centers in 2003.
“The successful completion of this trial confirms NuGenesis’ leadership in long-term archival and restoration of scientific data from a wide range of analytical instruments,” said Peter van Bladeren, Head of the Nestlé Research Center. “NuGenesis Technologies has provided a scalable, easily deployable solution for data archival, storage and management.”
“Our agreement with Nestlé demonstrates the flexible architecture of the NuGenesis SDMS platform and its ability to integrate into existing IT infrastructure,” commented Michael McGuinness, President and CEO, NuGenesis Technologies. “Nestlé will be able to effectively manage their data today and also transition to a paperless environment, should they so choose.”
“We found the NuGenesis SDMS to be robust and adaptable to our scientific environment, and were impressed by the flawless technical support provided by NuGenesis,” states Gian Gross, Project Manager of the Nestlé Research Centre. “Analysts can now focus on scientific work instead of administrative IT tasks, and intellectual property will be better protected.”
