The U.S. Department of Agriculture says a Hattiesburg, Miss.-based company is recalling sausages for possible listeria contamination.
Enslin & Son Packing Co. says a batch of Cedar Grove Red Hots in 1.5 pound and 2 pound packages tested possible for listeria.
The packages, bearing the number P-31806, were shipped to stores in the Mississippi cities of Meridian and Philadelphia. They contain a use or freeze by date of Sept. 24 or Sept. 28.
No reports of illnesses have been received. Listeria bacteria can cause serious illness and death.
