PerkinElmer Awarded $25 Million Contract with Boeing
PerkinElmer announced that Boeing and PerkinElmer Fluid Sciences have extended their Corporate Agreement for the supply of rigid pneumatic ducting joints to Boeing military programs, including the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, C-17 Globemaster III, 767 Tanker, 737 AEW&C, F-15E Strike Eagle and the Apache helicopter. The multi-year agreement, running through 2006, complements the Agreement for the supply of rigid pneumatic joints for all current-production Boeing commercial airplane programs for a combined value of approximately $25 million.
Under the terms of the contract, PerkinElmer will provide flanges, couplings and E-Seal products. With major production scheduled to start in 2004, these high-performance products will meet the needs of many of Boeing’s next-generation military aerospace programs.
“We are pleased with this contract win in a challenging aerospace end market, and this agreement further strengthens a long-standing and highly-valued business partner relationship,” said Bob Barrett, President of PerkinElmer Fluid Sciences. “Boeing’s selection of PerkinElmer as a partner of this program reflects our commitment to high reliability and performance standards that have enabled us to sustain a leading position in today’s increasingly competitive markets.”
