Opto Diode, a division of ITW and a member of the ITW Photonics Group, offers a 16-element photodiode that is suitable for UV/EUV or electron detection. The AXUV16ELG features a 40-pin dual in-line package, and internal quantum efficiency (QE) at 100%.
The photodiode is designed with a large, 2 by 5 mm active area and a sensitive area of 10 mm² per element. To enhance accuracy, the 40-pin detector offers stable response after exposure to high energy electrons or photons.
Other features include reverse breakdown voltage (VR) at 25 Volts (typ.), capacitance of 40 pF, and a rise time of 500 nsec. Storage and operating temperatures range from 14 to 104 degrees F for ambient environments, and from -4 to 176 degrees F for nitrogen or vacuum conditions. The maximum junction temperature is 158 degrees F and the lead-soldering temperature (0.080 in. from case for 10 sec.) is 500 degrees F. Opto Diode’s 16-element detectors are carefully packaged and shipped with temporary covers to protect the photodiodes and the wire bonds.
