Pike Electric Corp. said Monday that it named James Turner to its board of directors.
Turner, 53, is an executive mentor with Merryk & Co., a business leader mentoring firm. Turner is a former president and chief operating officer of Duke Energy’s U.S. franchised electric and gas business.
Pike, based in Mount Airy, N.C., provides services for energy companies ranging from facilities planning and siting to installation and maintenance.
Shares of Pike fell 36 cents to $8.45 in afternoon trading.
