Genalice announced it has completed its prototype 2 product performance testing.
With a short load time and small footprint for each recorded defect, Genalice is in the process of creating a data processing and analysis platform to perform analyses with one million DNA samples from 150, 000 patients in a single run. The IT technology will work towards helping oncology patients gain a better quality of life.
“Our DNA load performance lines up with Oracle’s Exadata database performance, which can be seen as a standard in this area,” says Hans Karten, chief technology officer of Genalice. “The small footprint allows Genalice to store DNA data from large numbers of patients with minimum storage requirements.”
Genalice expects to introduce the first version of the product in the second quarter of 2012.
