By Heather Hall | December 8, 2019

San Francisco, Dec. 5, 2019 — The winners of the 57th annual R&D 100 Awards — an international competition recognizing the 100 most exceptional innovations in science and technology — were honored Thursday, Dec. 5, during a black-tie awards ceremony held at the San Mateo Marriott in San Francisco, California. The R&D 100 Awards have long been considered the most globally prestigious recognition of invention and innovation.

R&D 100 Awards recipients include established Fortune 500 companies and federally funded research institutions, as well as academic and government labs. Their leading products, technologies and services will make a difference in a wide range of industries, representing a bright future for science and technology.

The R&D 100 Awards Winners were selected by an independent panel of more than 40 judges representing R&D leaders in a variety of fields. Winners were recognized and awarded across six major categories—Analytical/Test, IT/Electrical, Mechanical/Materials, Other, Process/Prototyping, and Software/Services.

The R&D 100 Awards recipients were selected from among a group of exemplary R&D 100 Finalists, who were previously revealed as winners on Oct. 29, 2019 by R&D World Magazine. Are all being recognized at the event as stellar innovations of the past year, along with four Special Recognition categories of products and services.

The R&D 100 Awards Gala are taking place following the fifth annual R&D 100 Conference,  on Dec 4-5, which focused on R&D leadership strategies, trends in R&D and the current challenges facing the R&D community.

Applications for the 2020 R&D 100 Awards will open on March 2, 2020. For more information on the R&D 100 Awards & R&D 100 Conference, visit www.rd100conference.com/.
