Real Success and Proven Approaches to HPC as a Service

By R&D Editors | September 17, 2014

Real Success and Proven Approaches to HPC as a ServiceOn Tuesday, September 23, Scientific Computing will host a live panel discussion that examines how researchers and engineers are looking for ways to make product innovation, research and data insight faster and more competitive — including adopting or expanding their use of high performance computing to more users and projects. This educational webinar will explore real successes, research and proven approaches to HPC as a service, and will discuss how this HPC service can remove the barriers of training, access and complexity so that HPC resources are easier to use to accelerate discoveries and innovation.

Participants will learn from technical experts from around the world:

  • Prof. Dr. Andreas Polze, Middleware Group, Hasso-Plattner-Institute, will highlight research on cloud platforms to support HPC as a service and a successful example of its use in research
  • Thomas Goepel, Director Product Management, HPC Cloud Solutions,Hewlett Packard, provide an update on technical architecture approaches and considerations to make HPC as a service possible
  • Professor Cing-Dao (Steve) Kan,Director, Center for Collision Safety and Analysis, College of Science, George Mason University, will present a real-world case study examining requirements and benefits for small and medium organizations

I invite you to join us for what promises to be a lively and informative discussion!
