Relish and Zumobi Whip Up Relish Daily Dish Recipe App

By R&D Editors | August 9, 2012

Today, Relish, a national cooking and entertaining brand, announced that it partnered with Zumobi, a leading mobile media company, to launch Relish Daily Dish, its first recipe application for the iPhone. Relish Daily Dish provides a visually engaging cooking experience for smartphone users, blending rich content such as photos, videos, articles and recipes to inform and entertain consumers. Whether you’re a novice foodie or the family cook, the app can help you customize recipes, build your grocery list and teach you timely tricks of the culinary trade.

Zumobi implemented their new rich media mobile ad platform to ensure that Relish Daily Dish advertisers can provide the most seamless advertising experience possible. Through the Zumobi Brand Integration (ZBi) platform, Relish can offer brands an immersive advertising experience that is highly engaging yet complementary to the app design. This enables leading brands to truly connect with and engage their audiences in the app. The new Relish Daily Dish app also leverages Zumobi’s sophisticated social media integration capabilities, letting app users share articles and their favorite recipes with friends and followers. Capitalizing on this elegant content integration, a national packaged goods company is already signed up to take sponsorship of the app this fall.

“Now more than 46 million cooking enthusiasts who have come to know and trust the Relish brand will have complete ease of access to all our great content from their mobile devices,” said Jill Melton, Editor-in-Chief of Relish. “To publish the Relish Daily Dish app we partnered with Zumobi to combine sophisticated video, user-generated content and social media. We believe that this balance will bring the freshest, seasonal recipes and cooking and entertaining tips right into users’ smartphones.”

With thousands of recipes at their fingertips, smartphone users will also appreciate the highly customizable search and filter features woven throughout the Relish Daily Dish app. By simply searching with either direct words or ingredients, users can not only decide what’s for dinner but also easily build their shopping list or dynamically update their news feeds.

“We’re delighted to welcome the Relish brand to the Zumobi Network and to provide Relish Daily Dish advertisers with a compelling advertising experience through the Zumobi Brand Integration (ZBi) Platform,” said Ken Willner, CEO of Zumobi. “As more and more food enthusiasts turn to mobile apps to get recipes and inspiration, we’re excited to bring the award-winning Relish content to this growing audience.”

Relish Daily Dish is free to consumers and is available for download at relish.com (www.relish.com/mobile) and the in the iTunes app store where it has received a perfect five-star rating. For Android devices, the Relish Daily Dish app is coming soon to Google Play.
