RHP 11-Slot VXI Chassis
The RHP features rugged construction, high power plugging cooling modules, and RS-485 monitoring, making it suitable for the latest generation of high performance VXI applications. Building on a long history of VXI systems, the RHP was designed for systems requiring low weight, high strength, and high power. Advanced laminate welded construction combines lightweight materials to provide an extremely rigid structure. As well as adding strength and reducing weight, these methods also provide improved shock resilience. The RHP’s 11 slot high-current VXI ‘C’ size monolithic backplane features active automatic bus-grant and IACK jumpering, active termination, and 96 pin high current DIN connectors. High frequency decoupling is provided at each slot, along with bulk distributed low frequency decoupling. It features a rear plugging AC front end and either one or two front plugging DC power modules. The Model RHP-1, with one DC power module, is rated for 1460 W, while the Model RHP-2 has two modules and a combined rating of 2.2kW. This distributed power system provides transient response, regulation, and fault tolerance. To manage this power, the backplane uses power routing and high current connectors. AC input power factor is 0.99 with power factor correction.
