Robert Voelkner Joins InnaPhase

By R&D Editors | January 31, 2004

Robert Voelkner Joins InnaPhase

InnaPhase announced the addition of Robert Voelkner, formerly of Thermo Electron Corporation, as director of business development. In his new role, Voelkner will lead the effort to further expand InnaPhase’s presence in various regions of the world. He brings 22 years of pharmaceutical LIMS industry experience, including software development, implementation, sales, marketing, support and executive management.

Previously, he was Vice President of Sales for Thermo’s Informatics division, and prior to that was director of worldwide sales and marketing for Beckman Coulter’s Laboratory Automation Operations – which was acquired by InnaPhase in July 2003. Voelkner earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

“We are thrilled that Bob has chosen to join the InnaPhase team,” said Jo Webber, Ph.D., President and CEO of InnaPhase Corporation. “I’ve known Bob for more than 15 years and his understanding of the LIMS marketplace, particularly regulated industries and compliance issues, is strategic to the success of our newly released Newton(TM) LIMS solution.”

“The decision to join InnaPhase was an easy choice for me,” said Voelkner. “The company has an extraordinary reputation, with most of the world’s major pharmaceutical companies relying on InnaPhase for proven LIMS products. Along with the new, technologically advanced LIMS solutions that they have just brought to market, I knew no other LIMS company could easily duplicate what InnaPhase is offering the industry now and in the future. After more than 20 years in LIMS, I am excited to be part of a company that is doing something new and unique.”
