SampleManager 2004 offers Web capabilities such as XML (eXtensible Markup Language) processing and an advanced Web interface for dynamic data submission. The LIMS also incorporates new Web services architecture that opens up core business logic to allow other applications and systems to access its functionality. The product utilizes XML to seamlessly integrate with enterprise resource planning systems, as well as chemical information databases and document management software. A new Web browser facilitates access by a wider user base, including business managers and process engineers located anywhere in the world. Samples and testing requirements can also be submitted via a web interface through a standard Internet security model.
