Thermo Fisher Scientific, a leader in serving science, announces the availability of dual-sparge technology for Thermo Scientific HyClone Single-Use Bioreactor (S.U.B.) system. The new products are now the default choices for all current working volumes of S.U.B.s from 50–1000 L.
A new generation of optimized BioProcess Containers (BPCs) for the S.U.B. is now available based on dual-sparge technology. This advancement accommodates a greater range of operating conditions with an extended selection of kLa values, improved pH control and lower foaming than the a single-disk sparger system. In addition the new BPC has improved line set configurations to enhance control and productivity for the S.U.B. system.
The S.U.B. BPC system has become the leading single-use alternative to conventional stirred-tank bioreactors for animal and insect cell culture with more than 200 systems placed and numerous customer referrals presented annually at bioprocessing conferences.
