STARLIMS is a Web-based off-the-shelf laboratory information management system for a wide variety of laboratory types operating in many scientific and industrial disciplines. The system consolidates disparate business processes into a single, compliant platform with comprehensive reporting, surveillance and networking capabilities. It is a collaborative Web-based tool that interoperates with other systems. The software guides operators through defined steps and makes appropriate recommendations based on entered data, raw data or a resource reference, mimicing manually implemented procedures and recording business logic within the automated system.
