Students Race Their Innovative Solar, Hydrogen Model Cars

 

Middle school students from around the state will participate in the Junior Solar Sprint and Hydrogen Fuel Cell car competitions on Saturday, May 21 sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The competitions give students the opportunity to show their engineering and design skills by building and racing high-performance model solar and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.

 

What:              Junior Solar Sprint and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car Competitions

The competition event is free and open to the public.

When:             10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 21

Where:            Dakota Ridge High School
