Tecplot 360 EX 2015 Release 2 is 10 times faster than the legacy (2013) version of Tecplot 360 at computational analysis and graphics rendering. Features include customizable color maps that allow users to understand variations in their data through the use of graphical point and click color options. The maps help users identify areas of interest in CFD solutions as large as one-billion cells. The software requires 92 percent less memory than earlier versions when loading modern high-fidelity CFD solutions. CFD engineers are able to load and analyze data once reserved for only the largest high-performance computing centers. Computational and rendering speed is achieved through Tecplot’s proprietary SZL technology, which is a combination of deferred data loading, exhaustive parallelization, and many other code optimizations.
