PARIS (AP) – Canadian drugmaker Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. says it has completed a $425 million acquisition of dermatology company Dermik.
In a statement, Ontario-based Valeant says it bought Dermik from French drugmaker Sanofi. Dermik makes the acne drug BenzaClin.
Valeant is a pharmaceutical company that focuses on neurological and dermatological therapies.
Sanofi says Dermik sales are expected to reach more than $200 million this year.
