WIL Research Company, Inc., a privately held global Contract Research Organization (CRO) and leading provider of drug development services, appointed Howard Moody as Chief Information Officer and Alan Findlater as Chief Commercial Officer. Combined, Moody and Findlater bring more than 40 years of pharma and contract research industry experience to WIL Research Company.

As CIO, Moody will oversee the development and execution of an information technology strategy that improves client service, increases efficiency and expands enterprise value. Findlater, the new chief commercial officer, will be responsible for developing and executing a global business development and marketing strategy that strengthens client relationships and expands market share through increased coverage of client needs across all geographies.
Moody brings more than 20 years of experience in the contract research and laboratory services industries. He has extensive experience developing strategies to deliver business objectives, leveraging IT platforms for maximum business impact, and increasing business value through technology integration. Most recently, he served as CIO for MDS Pharma Services. Previously, Moody served as CIO for Medifacts, a prominent cardiac safety service provider, and spent five years as the CIO for Covance. Prior to joining Covance, he worked eleven years with SmithKline Beecham (now Quest) as the Vice President of Laboratory Applications Development and Support. Moody received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the SUNY Fredonia and his Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.
Findlater brings more than eight years of business development experience in the pre-clinical contract research space and more than thirteen years of pharmaceutical marketing experience. He has a track record of delivering outstanding global sales results through strategic account focus, sales leadership development and team motivation. Most recently, he served as Global Vice President of Sales and Client Services for the Non-Clinical Safety Assessment and Analytical Services Divisions at Covance. Previously, he was Vice President of Business Development in Europe for Covance before moving to the United States and being appointed Vice President of Sales and Client Services for North America. Prior to joining Covance, he worked for more than eight years with Johnson & Johnson in a number of marketing and account management roles. Findlater received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with Honors from the University of Strathclyde and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Warwick.
