IDC’s HPC Innovation Excellence Awards program, initiated in 2011 to recognize high returns-on-investment in the HPC user community, is announcing a call for participation for the next set of awards.
The award program aims to better identify returns-on-investment (ROI) in HPC. Quantified examples of HPC ROI have been few and far between. One of the awards program’s goals is to enable members of the worldwide HPC community to make stronger cases for HPC funding, especially in competition with other priorities during the continuing economic recovery.
IDC invites HPC users from industry, government and academia to submit the simple, two-page application form that is available at: https://www.hpcuserforum.com/innovationaward/
To be eligible for the next round of awards, application forms must be received by April 30, 2012. Winners to date have come from all around the world, and IDC invites applications from all countries.
The announcement of award winners will take place during IDC’s annual HPC Market Breakfast Briefings, at ISC’12 in Hamburg, Germany, and SC12 in Salt Lake City, UT. The breakfast briefings are open free-of-charge to all ISC and SC12 attendees.
