ACD/Name 8.0 provides support for the systematic nomenclature of organics, organometallics and other inorganic structures. The capabilities of the software have been extended to inorganic chemistry and polymers. The ability to draw and support coordination bonds and other specialty bond types through ACD/ChemSketch has been a part of this transition. ACD/ChemSketch is the all-purpose chemical drawing and graphics package that offers chemical property calculation and reporting features, along with a standard interface through which all ACD/Labs chemistry software components may be accessed. Because of its deep integration with other ACD/Labs products, users are also able to use various ACD/Labs software modules to support inorganic structures and polymers across a wide range of analytical techniques, including chromatography, mass spectrometry, optical spectroscopy, and more. ACD/Name 8.0 will be released at Pittcon 2004.
