Digital Microsvope
COOLSCOPE is a microscope system that combines high-precision optics, multi-megapixel digital camera technology, and intuitive software in a single, easy-to-use unit. Its design does away with traditional microscope eyepieces. Instead, all observations occur on a monitor or through a projector. After loading a glass slide preparation into the tray — which is housed in a CPU-like “tower” — a user operates all controls, including observation, image capture, and network communications, with mouse clicks. Once loaded, micro and macro images of the specimen are simultaneously visible on a monitor or projection device, through the unit’s five-megapixel digital camera. With the memory function, users can save up to 12 previous observation conditions and specimen positions, for instant image recall later on.
