Indigo Systems Appointed to Establish IR Standards
Indigo systems has been asked to participate in a DoD (Department of Defense) working group to establish infrared (IR) imaging technology guidelines for inter-agency use among various government and military offices. The Motion Imager Standards Board (MISB) has asked leading experts in the IR field to address standardization issues and to begin the process. Indigo Systems responded by sending Ted Hoelter, Systems Engineer Director and Mr. Darren Haley, Segment Sales Manager, Indigo Science Cameras, to the initial conference.
According to Mr. Len Yencharis, consultant for ROI Marketing Group and coordinator of this effort, “Infrared technology has advanced to the point where it is now commercially feasible to build products and find new, emerging applications. It has caught the attention of the military to the point that they now would like to create standards for interoperability to fulfill he advanced motion imaging needs of the Department of Defense/Intelligence Community/National System for Geospatial Intelligence (DoD/IC/NSGI) community. The conference in Virginia was the first step toward realizing this goal. Progress will continue with leading scientists in the IR arena presenting their recommendations through a series of IR standards conferences.
